Treepartner is a dynamic working partnership between Chris Cowell and Richard Allmond. Both have worked in the tree care industry as practicing arborists for over 20 years. Since 2003, they have developed a constructive working relationship approaching the same subjects with complementary but differing experiences.

Chris has been active in tree related industries since 1986, in particular native woodland management and tree care contracting. Operating throughout the UK and Western Europe, Chris, a former UK champion, is involved in tree climbing competitions at all levels and now sits on both the European and International technical advisory groups. As a director of Treemagineers Ltd, Chris is involved in tree related research and testing, dissemination of tree worker information and the development of work at height products.

Richard has many years experience as a trainer and lecturer within the tree care industry. He has been involved in the development of many new short courses and has made significant contributions to current UK industry guidance and several Health and Safety Executive research contracts. Richard’s main activity is the delivery of short courses and is also employed as a technical verifier for Lantra and City and Guilds. He has a broad knowledge of outdoor and rescue activities having worked as a mountain safety advisor in oil exploration.

Treepartner believes that a sequence of successful partnerships is essential before tree-focused work can take place:
