Courses

Treepartner short courses address the wide range of skills required to operate safely and efficiently within the tree care and forestry industries. We are very aware that Lantra Awards or City and Guilds NPTC assessment is a focus for many candidates and employers. Our courses concentrate on the requirements of real work sites in addition to meeting assessment criteria.

Treepartner has taken a fresh look at how to package groups of skills. We have included additional relevant topics and ensured that both course materials and instructors are of the highest quality. For our work at height and chainsaw courses we have recently taken the decision to reduce the trainee/instructor ratio from the industry standard of a maximum of four to a maximum of two trainees. We believe this improves the quality of the learning experience by significantly increasing the instructor contact time with each trainee.

In addition to the training currently expected by the tree care industry, Treepartner offer a number of unique courses, particularly continuation training. These bespoke courses aim to meet the demands of businesses and individuals with a desire to advance practical skills competency and who recognize the resultant benefits in safety and efficiency. We also hope to contribute to the expansion of a constructive learning culture on work sites. Please download our course booklet for an outline of Treepartner training courses.

Upon completion of a course, each candidate will receive a certificate of attendance and record of training objectives. Where appropriate, trainees may also opt to be assessed for competence under a nationally recognized scheme..

All courses can be run at one of our venues. The pricing quoted is indicative of courses run locally to our Lake District base. Treepartner also has training bases in North Wales and Highland Perthshire. However, if you would prefer, we are happy to travel to you anywhere in the UK or abroad!

If you have specific training in mind, which is not listed or currently available, Treepartner will be happy to discuss your requirements.
